Space Perspective, excited about the boundless possibility of unchartered territory of space exploration before us, is committed to discovery. Knowing that our Explorers are eager to learn, we seek to inspire, driven to be a catalyst of creative invention for the world. We are making space more accessible to all, and are eager to inspire artists across all mediums to communicate the incredible human experience in ways that engineering and technology cannot.
In a first for the space tourism community, Space Perspective will fly visual, literary, digital, culinary and performing arts to forge collaboration between science, technology, and creativity.
THE SCIENCES
A UNIQUE SPACE LABORATORY
The opportunity to repeatedly fly scientific instruments in space is very rare, and we can provide just that to the research community by flying research payloads on every space tourism flight. There exists no other platform that allows scientists to fly with their instruments to the altitude of Spaceship Neptune’s reach. Our Space Explorers can share in the excitement of participating in significant research.
Research areas of great interest include:
Upper atmosphere chemistry and physics that shed light on climate and other global processes
Solar physics that aid in understanding effects on Earth and mitigation for technologies (e.g. satellites)
Meteoritics, astrobiology, astronomy, and astrophysics to increase learning about the cosmos
Technology development and demonstration to further enable spaceflight

INSTRUMENT FLIGHTS HAVE BEGUN
Scientists have already flown instruments on our un-crewed test flight. The research payload on our Neptune One flight was an ozone sensor instrument, testing innovative atmospheric science technology, developed by Dr. Nirmal Patel and his student team in the physics department at the University of Northern Florida. This inaugural payload demonstrated to research organizations, NASA and other government entities that Spaceship Neptune is a valuable research platform. Test flights continue in 2022, with more opportunities to perform meaningful science in space.

STUDENT INSPIRATION
Space has an extraordinary ability to inspire students of all ages, engaging students in unparalleled discovery and learning. Space Perspective is kick-starting STEAM in Space program, (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math), with an initial collaboration with Higher Orbits, an educational nonprofit using space to promote STEAM by partnering with astronauts and students.
The Neptune One test flight flew the winning projects of a science competition for high school students. One experiment measured the sun’s magnetic field to confirm solar minimum, the time when the sun is least active. A second measured the effects of the space environment on memory materials that are made to hold a particular shape.

TAKING ART TO NEW HEIGHTS
Space Perspective partners with individual artists and arts organizations from around the world that one would not think as traditionally being involved in human space flight and space tourism. We recently launched our first in a series of robust collaborations with artists, students and other creators in the humanities.
The art collective Beyond Earth, the inaugural art guest collaborator, provided their expertise and paved the way for the new art and science initiatives - opening the door for all to take part in commercial space exploration in creative and innovative ways. Our recent test flight, Neptune One, flew Beyond Earth’s Living Light, the largest art installation ever to travel to space.

FLY YOUR ARTWORK TO THE EDGE OF SPACE COMPETITION WINNERS
From climbing mountains and sailing the seas to air travel and spaceflight, humanity has always sought to go higher and farther, to gain a new and better perspective of our world. This was the theme for an art competition for all ages conducted in collaboration with Higher Orbits.
